he mauser pistol was first manufactured in 1896. An intermediate between a pistol and machine carbine, it was the first military automatic pistol. Apart from minor modifications in 1912 and 1932 it has retained its original features. Mainly designed for police use, it was also widely used as an unofficial substitute arm by the German Military force during the First World War. It was widely used in Russia during the 1917 revolution and is still found in huge numbers. It was later replaced by the Walter designs. The non-firing replica tries to encorporate all the features of the original giving it an authentic look.
