Information for British Naval Cannon, 18th c:
aval cannons were set up on several gun decks on the typical "Man of War" and the "broadsides" resulting from all the guns on oneside of a ship firing in unison were legendary. The carriages had an extensive rope system to stop a recoiling cannon and get it back in firing position. This miniature replica, 11" long, is very well detailed.
