French pistol, 1872

Guns » Flintlocks ID: D1014/L

Information for French pistol, 1872:

caplock or Percussion Lock pistols were so called because the lock system causes a percussion cap to be struck by the hammer when the trigger is pulled.
The percussion was a great improvement over the flintlock as it was less susceptible to weather-related misfires.
It must be noted that this is a replica pistol and that in spite of any moving parts or working mechanisms, it cannot be converted into a working firearm.
With its simple yet attractive look, this French 1832 Pistol possesses just enough detailing to be an attractive personal accessory.
